The Athletes' Village in the East End of Glasgow is one of the most significant new urban developments in the UK and its rapid development over the next few years will receive worldwide attention.

The Athletes’ Village will be built by the City Legacy Consortium. The consortium is made up of several companies, each of whom have an unparalleled local track record of residential development and job creation in the city. CCG, Cruden, Mactaggart & Mickel and Malcolm are award winning developers and contractors, each with several decades of successful experience in Glasgow and beyond.

In the short term, the Athletes’ Village will provide thousands of beds for athletes and officials during the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. After the Games, it will transform into a lively residential community with housing, amenities and public spaces, some on a riverside setting. The development is located within a short train or bus journey to the centre of Glasgow and it will provide a wonderful environment for a new family focused community. 

City Legacy will build a range of affordable properties on this site which will regenerate the local area. The East End of Glasgow was once a thriving industrial community and this development, together with the additional facilities being created, will breathe new life into this part of the city.

From two bedroom apartments to four bedroom houses, the residents of the Athletes’ Village will have a wide choice of property type, all of which will be built as sustainable homes, meeting the 60% carbon reduction targets set.
