The Athletes’ Village will provide a wide range of sizes and types of houses, offering something for everyone and creating a balanced community. There are a number of house types with variations which will provide around 21 types in total, suiting the needs of every buyer.
The house types within the Athletes’ Village will include:
- 2-3 bedroom apartments
- 2-3 bedroom terrace houses
- 2-3 bedroom semi-detached houses
- 2-4 bedroom townhouses
- 3-4 bedroom detached houses
Of these homes, 304 will be for private sale, 100 will be for mid-market rent and a further 300 affordable homes will be for rent through local Housing Associations. Following the Games more land will be released and more homes will be built.
The houses will be low rise, with many energy efficient features including a minimum reduction of 60% in carbon emissions. It is anticipated that this will result in significantly reduced energy bills.
