2014 will be a huge year for Glasgow. The build up to the Games is only the start of a process that will lead to a long term positive change in Dalmarnock.

Our vision is to be part of a memorable Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and to deliver a lasting regeneration legacy for the area. We are focused on delivering a city district that blends with and enhances the surrounding neighbourhoods while showcasing the best in contemporary and sustainable design.

We will deliver an attractive urban village with housing, amenities and public spaces some on a riverside setting.  The village will accommodate visiting athletes in the first instance, but most importantly, after the Games it will provide a wonderful environment for a new family focused community.

We will also deliver local community benefits, including the creation of long term training and employment opportunities.

Before the Games, we will deliver:

  • a residential development of 700 houses and flats
  • a 120 bed care home
  • an energy centre
  • new and improved roads and infrastructure
  • a range of soft and hard landscaping and outdoor space.

After the Games, we will develop:

  • additional residential homes
  • up to 1,000 square metres of retail floor space
  • up to 2,000 square metres of office and restaurant space
  • associated roads and infrastructure
  • associated soft and hard landscaping and outdoor space.

The site will be a great legacy for Glasgow, both at the time of the Games by putting Glasgow on the map and afterwards as a fantastic place to live and work.
